Umlaut and postgreSQL[j2ee]
if you use the default encoding ofpostgreSQL (SQL_ASCII) and try to access the database via the jdbc driver, the umlauts are not correctly displayed (it works with the zope driver and with e.g. pgadmin).
Solution: use not the default encoding, but eg LATIN1 ... did I already mention, that I prefer zope
